HTC Touch – II

On Monday it leaves of that review, I will speak about the programs and of the operating system WM6 in HTC Touch[bb]. Before continuing, I suggest that youread the first part of that review, here.

WM6 in way general

Exclusiveness of Touch, "HTC Touch[bb]" is (picture above) that window that appears in the screen Today and that, among other things, it shows a "relojão." Besides him, he/she gives to insert more two windows, the one of weather forecast and the one of shortcuts for programs, that is configurável. Besides, it shows in the home the amount of e-mails and new SMS and not called assisted.

Another innovation: MMS and SMS now are managed together in Messaging, that is very beautiful and pleasant of using. I don’t want to use FlexMail for the time being, in spite of the native program still not to synchronize the icon of status of answered messages and directed in the bills IMAP.

Do they know Windows Update of the Windows desktop? Because it is, now he exists in the Mobile also. He gives to leave verifying him/it in pré-certain periods if he/she has updatings.

The icons changed in WM6. Not only the one of the applications and configurations, that are more beautiful, but the one of notifications also. The traditional "letter" now is exclusive for e-mails, while for SMS the icon started to be a letter with a cellular one for top. The system sounds, notifications and alarms are also changed. I found them higher and clear. To put a MP3 as touch was easier also, starting from the own media tocador that function exists in the menu.

I liked a lot of the it measured player. Besides the easy access for the interface TouchFLO, to manage music and playlists is very easy. Everything is integrated with WMP 11 of the desktop, and music, videos and playlists are synchronized easily for the device in that way. Something as iTunes + iPod already do.

Unassuming the quality of the audio and of the phone, that is the best that I already saw in a smartphone today. I can say without fear of wandering that, who is in order to a smartphone that plays MP3 with good quality and with pleasant administration, he will love Touch. Like him it supports SDHC, can gives to put a card of 4 GB (or more) and to have fun pacas. But I am already going informing: if you hear a lot of music, walk with extra loader.

For my surprise, he plays short videos in a good way in WMP. But in the hour of attending filmões and serial episodes in TCPMP (current CorePlayer) there is lags. He is not fast, the processor of 200 MHz is not for that, definitively. If you want to see very video, choose another PDAphone, more potent.

In general, the battery autonomy is very good. He wins of S200, in spite of the same processor and screen. The secret is really in WM6, that manages everything in a better way and it optimizes the expense of energy. I am until the end of the day without needing of recharge, using the apparel in an ostensible way: lowering e-mails automatically of 30 in 30 minutes, RSS every 2 hours (through Egress), speaking once in a while and accessing IMs esporadicamente.

Internet Sharing

Wireless Modem passed the if he/she calls Internet Sharing and, now, it is not more necessary to contain ActiveSync of PC and to make a dialing to use him/it as modem. The Internet Sharing, once activated, he/she simply shares the cellular connection of Touch with PC. So much for the cable USB as for bluetooth. Much more practical.

Task Manager

Bye, Magic Button. Now, he/she gives to configure nativamente in Task Manager that you want the button "X" to do: minimize or close programs. Besides, in the screen Today, is enough to play in the right superior song of the screen to show the open programs and, if he/she wants, to close them.

Nokia N95: a true one penknife-Swiss

image The Nokia N95 has been concidarado the best telephone of the marked. And it is not for so much: with your incredible camera of 5 megapixel it is possible, besides great pictures, to get to film with quality good, but great in relation to a camera of cellular, or smartphone if you prefers.

Review – HTC Touch

Amazon.com Widgets

Not to deny that gives the main attraction of HTC Touch is the size. Reduced, including thickness, it exactly equivalent to a Motorola V3 closed. But the screen is the same as always, large, spacious, bright and clear. Moreover, the screen is the heart of that unit. Everything is done by it. In physical buttons, we have only the blue, call the red, off and the central pad, in addition to the Power at the top of the unit, the volume of the left and the camera on the right side.

The stylus accompanies this reduction widespread, and well less than the average. Who has big hands will have difficulty in writing with it. In short: it is a device for delicate hands and those who want to dispense with pen most of the time. Thanks to TouchFLO, it is perfectly possible: no one step between the screen and the body of the unit, allowing the finger slide to "roll" between screens and menus.

The screen is tougher than usual. Who is accustomed to the pen, notice that you image must use more force. The "hardness" is understandable, since the goal of Touch is the entire focus directly on the touchscreen interface. Therefore, greater resistance is important for the durability of the unit.

Thanks to TouchFLO, just slipping a finger to make a connection selecting contacts in the main menu itself. Or by pressing the blue button and writing the name of the contact, which is easily found in the calendar.

If to switch between applications and menus the stylus is easily dispensed, not overlooking say the same at the time of writing. The keyboard and the area of writing remain the same, always: requiring an accuracy of shooter to shoot the target. It is the only shortcoming of TouchFLO. I hope that in future if appliances create a better solution. Fortunately, there are applications of third parties that add keyboards great to write with their fingers. The staff of the XDA-developers even developed a keyboard similar to the iPhone! The add-in can be downloaded for free here. We have not tried, I just know the novelty and will download and install soon as possible.

The slot internal lateral serves both to the memory card and the SIM card. Everything is so small in Touch that it is a little complicated embed them, requires a certain trick. For those who usually replace the card often, is lost a bit on practicality. But at least it is more accurate to take the battery to replace the SIM.

Google Docs now Mobile

image A few days ago Google released the mobile version of Google Docs. What is very good for those who have smartphones that does not have a text editor (such as in Blackjack and MotoQ) and a joy to users of the iPhone and iPod Touch (by wi-fi). Except that’s not what it is. They do not totally replace an application, I say this because there is no market solution paid for these appliances has no editor and you may not always have access to it. Only when connection available.

I have not tried. And I am not sure if it is all possible to edit text. Some people say that yes and others not.
